Product Criteria

1. Create a website with the following qualities:

a. Easy to navigate through using the following but not limited to:

i. Links

ii. Menu buttons (Navigation bar)

b. Introduces and explains the project (‘Home’)

c. Contains information used in making the robots (‘Research’)

d. Records the process of making biomimetic robots (‘Robot Building’)

e. Contains videos and graphs on the robots’ performance (‘Performance’)

2. Create a series of robots that are inspired by the following bio-locomotion and meet the following specified requirements:

a. Dogs– Walking:

i. Has four legs: two on each side

ii. Does not move on wheels

iii.Walks in one of the following patterns:

1. Right front (RF), left rear (LR), left front (LF), right rear (RR)

2. LF, RR, RF, LF

b. Dogs and Horses– Trotting:

i. Has four legs: two on each side

ii. Does not move on wheels

iii. Trots in the following pattern: RF & LR, LF & RR (or vice versa)

c. Giraffes, Horses and Elephants– Walking:

i. Has four legs: two on each side

ii. Does not move on wheels

iii. Walks in one of the following patterns:

1. RR, RF, LR, LF

2. LR, LF, RR, RF

d. Inchworms– Crawling:

i. Has no legs

ii. Motors should not power any wheels; however it may move on wheels

iii. Crawls by bending and straightening of one or more “joints”

iv. Always has either a portion of its front or rear body contacting the ground

e. Humans– Walking:

i. Has two legs

ii. Has an upright body

iii. Does not move on wheels

iv. Walks in the following pattern: Left, Right (or vice versa)
