How can I create robots through mimicking bio-locomotion?

Biomimetics or biomimicry is about copying, learning and getting inspirations from the nature to create things.

This is the topic I chose for my personal project and my goal was "to create as many biomimetic robots as I can in the set of approximately 2 month". During this project, I investigated and studied on different bio-locomotion of animals and insects and used the information I have found to inspire and guide myself in creating biomimetic robots.
As the product of my project, I have create a quadruped capable of moving three different gaits (by adjusting gear-leg connections), a biped robot that can walk, and a robot micicking the locomotion of an inchworm. In this website, you will be able to find the information I used in making my robots as well as the process of building them. You can also see how my robots perform and some basic analysis/ observations on their movements.
          I hope you like them.
