Dogs and Horses - Trotting

Performance & Analysis: Connection to Learning

From the side:

This video shows my quadruped robot moving in dogs and horses' trotting gait. The red dot on its front right leg was tracked using the app called Video Physics.

Graphs:

This graph with X and Y axis shows the exact movement of the leg (red dot). It is interesting how the leg movement looks differnt from the dogs' walking gait even though the leg and the leg mechanism remains the same.

This graph show how much the robot moves forwards each step (changes in the X value as time progresses).

This graph show how much the leg moves up and down each step (changes in the Y value as time progresses).

From the top: normal speed

From the top: slow speed

These two videos filmed from the top shows the robot's gait (dogs and horses' trotting gait): right front & left rear, left front & right rear.
